Direct Ph.D. Student
My research investigates improving civil infrastructure messages (e.g. energy feedback, traffic safety, disaster resilience) through current message design theories and an fNIRS instrument.
By utilizing existing message design theories and fNIRS, these improved civil infrastructure messages can enhance society's quality of life.

My research focus is on online engineering education. My ambition is to improve online engineering courses for students and instructors. I am researching learning analytic data and exploring its usefulness for instructors.
There is a plethora of information learning analytics can tell an instructor on student engagement. So, my goal is to increase student engagement and make online courses more inviting for students and instructors.
